What is mobihouse.mobi mobihouse.mobi is a business unit of Advanced Housing Systems Limited (AHS), designers and manufacturers of custom flat packed high performance homes using Passivhaus technology. mobihouse.mobi is the domain name of the business unit. mobihouse uses the same technologies and services as Advanced housing Systems to produce homes, garden offices and similar structures designed to fall under the Caravan Act. This brings planning advantages to situations where gaining planning permission for an identicle or similar buildings might present problems. AHS is a family business which has a traveller and gypsy strand, albeit by now fairly middle class, and strongly believes that beautiful, sustainable homes should not face unfair planning prejudice. Our view is that, by and large, if you own land, you should be able to use it to live on either temporarily or permanently, and the planning issues should be based on aesthetics, sustainability and energy performance criteria rather than apparently arbitrary regional plans that view homes as units and numbers, favouring large developments of near identicle boxes from major estate developers, built to a confused mix of minimum prevailing building standards.
